MY HISTORY and BIG VISION

I'm open to travel for in person workshops and even relocating back to Dayton to open training centers in collaboration with others.   

I have plans for a 'Community Cottage Craft Collective'.  It's the evolution of the ‘Village to Village’ movement I started in Africa  in 1984, called Inspirit Arts.

I left my birthplace in Michigan to spend 18 years in Africa and Europe.

Inspired by a vision to help eradicate poverty, I left University in France to start the Inspirit Arts cottage craft industry in Africa. This social enterprise raised funds for children’s causes in Kenya and Eswatini by making, and training volunteers of women’s organizations to be vendors.

My greatest gift to the world so far, was starting the now thriving rolled paper bead movement by going from village to village, in one African country after another, to teach destitute villagers in drought stricken areas how to upcycle paper into jewelry. 

Returning stateside to Dayton in 1995, I ran after school programs for youth as a business student at Sinclair and Wilberforce, while also traveling the world to source handmade fashion to sell in her pop-up vendor booth. 

I'm looking forward to  circling back to Dayton, after living and developing my platform in Yellow Springs and Cincinnati.

I've retired from vending to devote myself towards building 'The Vendor Academy' and 'The Village eStore' on this platform. They're full of products, courses and resources specifically for organizations to use in support of pop-up event vendors.

#1: The Pop-Up Vendor Academy offers a unique specialized selling method for vendors to make at least one sale every five to ten minutes when promoting their own products and services at festivals, trade shows, marketplaces and special events.

#1: Heart Healing Headwrap-preneurs Program for Women is an opportunity to continue the product line to an existing customer base for the handwoven headwraps, hats and headbands that I started vending in Ohio over 20 years ago. 

‘The Headwrap Vendor Method’ is a multi-cultural humanitarian project with the heart of healing the racial divide.

It involves selling, and also giving away free headwraps to comfort people suffering from chronic illness and hair loss in the community.

#2: Inspirit Arts Youth & Family Social Enterprise is the revival of the same cottage craft industry I developed in Africa for nine years. 

By upcycling free and inexpensive raw materials into highly profitable and marketable fashion products, youth members and their families will confidently follow a tried and tested business model for certain success. 

The vision is that graduates travel to duplicate this social enterprise worldwide.

Organizations that sign-up for group rates can request support in raising funds for their network to participate.
