THE CONFESSION I’VE BEEN DREADING and how it’s setting me free to get support.

*** Transparency Alert ***

Part of me thinks I’m sharing too much, but on the other hand, my story often encourages and inspires people to never give up on their dreams.

Even though I started developing a selling system for expo and event vendors in the 80’s (while selling crafts to raise funds for children’s causes in Africa)…

I have to admit that I’ve been playing small lately and not yet making the impact I know I was born to make.

First and foremost, I’m embarrassed and ashamed that it’s taken me over 10 years of daily effort to finish building an online vendor sales training academy at ‘The Village To Vendor Pipeline’.

I never wanted to offer just ordinary courses, because studies show that most people either don’t finish courses, or can’t apply the information without a coach.

That’s why I wouldn’t settle for less than a very comprehensive platform for a highly engaging coaching community made interactive by coaching interns and apprentice sales trainers.

I struggled but never swayed from my goal to digitize the vending system I’ve been teaching my own sales teams for decades at pop-up markets, malls, trade fairs festivals, conferences, stadiums and special events.

I never gave up despite having to heal from so many family tragedies, two botched eye operations, several hospitalizations and years of  prolonged social isolation.

I lost my beloved son to drugs leaving me broken hearted and alone in the world.

On three occasions, I survived business associates slandering and robbing me while they deliberately  destroyed my income.

I’ve recovered from bankruptcy. homelessness, PTSD and suicidal depression.

After all these hardships, the main things that still hold me back and slow me down are not external, but internal between my own ears.

Mainly technophobia,  perfectionism, self sabotage and vain reluctance to be seen as the older, plumper version of myself with the same dream, and still touting the same message I had 40 years ago.

That is…

PROFESSIONAL SALES TRAINING IS THE KEY TO SUCCESSFUL SELF EMPLOYMENT.

This concept has evolved into my current agenda.

“Training college graduates in Africa to become freelance digital course coaches and vendor team trainers.”

I can certify them to get hired online by companies worldwide that need better sales forces to distribute their products and services at vendor events.

Specialized team training solves a huge problem.

Without it, most vendors waste a lot of time, money and energy traveling to events. Usually they’re super  excited to access thousands of people a day, until they get rejected and ignored by thousands of people walking by.

It takes more than an amazing display and fantastic product or service offers to make vendor shows worthwhile.

My step-by-step Sales & Service System is the culmination of my  lifetime of experience getting cash from crowds where ever you see vendors doing business from display tables.

Later, I’ll share about how I started developing this system in 1984 in Africa.

But for today, if you would like to see me make a bigger and more positive difference in the lives of a LOT more people, please consider contributing at https://gofund.me/7a2376b9

Another way to support is by circulating this post to introduce ‘The Village To Vendor Academy’ to leaders in business, education, and social impact organizations.

 Until my next post…
